Take the first step to becoming a CASA advocate:

VOLUNTEER!

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) advocates are volunteers who speak up for the best interests of children in foster care. They work closely with the child, families, social workers, and the court system to ensure that the child’s needs are met and their voice is heard during legal proceedings. CASA advocates provide a consistent presence for children, helping to ensure their safety, well-being, and a permanent, loving home.

To become a CASA advocate, applicants must:

*Be over 21 years old

*Go through a CPS and criminal background check

*Participate in in-depth training sessions.

*Commit 10-15 hours of your time every month for at least 1 year.

*Have the desire, patience and heart to work with children and families.
